Tempest’s membership program is structured so you can go at your own pace and use the tools and resources that work best for you. After all, you’re the expert on your own life!
Today, we’ll be answering a few questions about our Foundations course, which is a series of lessons you’ll see once you log into our membership platform. Foundations covers our basic principles of holistic recovery because we believe every part of you matters when you’re quitting drinking.
Q: What is Tempest Foundations?
A: Foundations is an in-depth, 4-part course designed to help you lay the groundwork for a sustainable alcohol-free life. This clinically-proven course combines evidence-based treatment methods, peer support, and expert guidance to give you a strong start to your sobriety journey. We cover topics like the physiology of addiction, how rituals and routines can help support you, as well as navigating relationships in recovery.
Q: What does the Foundations course cover?
A: We’ll learn about concrete tools you can turn to during cravings or times of stress, how to empower your recovery through science instead of shame, techniques for building new habits and routines to replace the ones you’re leaving behind, as well as how to respect your own needs and honor the people in your life.
The course is broken down into four sections, which you can complete week-by-week, or whenever fits best into your schedule.
- Series 1: Guiding Framework and Practices – In this first series, you’ll create a personalized and achievable plan of action using our holistic Recovery Map framework.
- Series 2: Physiology of Alcohol and the Brain – Gain a new perspective on why you drink by learning the latest scientific findings on how alcohol affects your brain.
- Series 3: Willpower, Routine, and Ritual – Access your brain’s power to build new, more supportive habits and daily rituals that foster peace of mind and resilience.
- Series 4: Navigating Relationships in Recovery – Create healthy and nurturing relationships by establishing clear boundaries and a positive self-identity.
Q: How long does the course take?
A: Most people take four weeks to complete the Foundations course, but how long you take is completely up to you. You’ll have access to Foundations for the full duration of your membership (depending on whether you opted for our monthly, biannual, or annual plans).
Q: When does the Foundations course start?
A: There are no set start or end dates for Foundations. You can start the course as soon as you enroll in membership, and you can take it as many times as you like.
Each Monday, we host an orientation call where you can meet your peers, see how the course works, and learn how to make the most of your membership.
Q: Does Foundations cost extra?
A: Nope! The Foundations course is included in the price of membership. To sign up, visit our membership page.
